Overview

The Loan Originator at First National Bank Texas in Fort Smith, AR is responsible for originating high-quality loans that align with FCMC guidelines while developing business relationships with local real estate agents and builders. This role may also involve managing office functions and serving as a liaison between various positions and corporate management.

Key responsibilities

  • Originate high quality loans meeting FCMC guidelines
  • Develop business relationships with local real estate agents and builders
  • Train employees on mortgage loan basics
  • Manage territory for First National Bank Texas and First Convenience banks
  • Take customer loan applications and pull credit
  • Conduct presentations including First Time Home Buyer Seminars and product training
  • Communicate with borrowers and real estate agents throughout the loan process
  • Issue and explain pre-qualification letters and compliance documentation
  • Serve as a general office manager if needed
  • Handle general correspondence, supply maintenance, and clerical staff schedules
