Overview

The Loader Operator at E-Z Bel Construction will support construction activities by operating a front-end loader, focusing on material handling, site cleanup, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to safe and organized jobsite operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with operating a front-end loader under direct supervision
  • Move materials such as asphalt, gravel, and debris
  • Load haul trucks and transport spoils
  • Perform basic grading and rough subgrade preparation
  • Complete pre- and post-operation equipment inspections
  • Follow PPE requirements and site-specific safety protocols
  • Identify and mitigate loader-specific hazards
  • Organize material yards and job sites during loading and unloading
  • Aid in site cleanup and material segregation
  • Perform traffic control and flagging duties as required

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience operating a front-end loader or willingness to train
  • Knowledge of construction materials
  • Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety protocols
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork
