Overview

Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere is looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of three years of law firm experience to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to several attorneys.
  • Manage calendars, including scheduling meetings, depositions, and court hearings.
  • Coordinate with attorneys to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare supporting materials for meetings and events.
  • Arrange couriers and deliveries for time-sensitive materials.
  • Assist with time entries for tracking billable hours.
  • Proofread and review documents and materials for accuracy.
  • Collect client approvals and e-signatures using DocuSign.
  • Produce, revise, and finalize legal documents.
  • Handle e-filing and submission of court documents.

Required skills

  • Minimum three years of experience as a litigation legal assistant
  • Experience with state and federal e-filing and docketing deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
