Overview

Amber K. Boyd Attorney at Law is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves representing clients, particularly professionals facing workplace issues such as discrimination and wrongful termination, in a litigation-focused environment where the attorney will have significant responsibility and ownership of cases.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft EEOC charges and position statements
  • Prepare and file federal complaints
  • Develop case strategy and theory from intake through trial
  • Draft and respond to written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment
  • Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
  • Prepare cases for trial
  • Communicate directly with sophisticated clients
  • Collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff

Required skills

  • Licensed and in good standing (Indiana preferred; multi-state is a plus)
  • 2-6 years of litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal writing and analysis skills
  • Ability to draft without heavy templates
  • Organized and deadline-driven
  • Coachable and emotionally intelligent with clients
  • Confident in depositions or eager to learn
  • Strategic thinking skills
