Overview

Workway, Inc. is seeking a Litigation Attorney for a law firm located in north central Phoenix, AZ. This role emphasizes entrepreneurial thinking in legal strategy, catering to a diverse client base from startups to established enterprises. The attorney will handle a variety of litigation matters in a collaborative boutique environment that merges legal and wealth planning services.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage business-related litigation matters from intake through trial or resolution
  • Provide outside general counsel services and advise clients on day-to-day legal issues
  • Handle legal issues including contracts, commercial disputes, governance, and regulatory compliance
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, pleadings, and court filings
  • Represent clients in court, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement discussions
  • Track time and case activity using Clio or similar legal management software

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Arizona bar license (California a plus)
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in a business law setting
  • Experience providing legal advice to entrepreneurial or small business clients
  • Familiarity with small-firm or fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in Clio or equivalent case management tools
  • Excellent communication, research, and litigation skills
