Job Description Job Description Job Summary:Will assist by helping serve the firm's diverse client base in a wide variety of matters (e.g., complex business and real estate disputes, creditor's rights litigation, employment and partnership matters, construction).Experience: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction. Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to litigation. Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw databases. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice to clients. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Required Skills/Abilities - 10 years' experience: Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice and trial. Experience investigating claims, preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, interacting with expert witnesses, and all aspects of motion practice.Able to prepare for, take, and defend depositions, and have prior experience in drafting dispositive, expert, and/or discovery motions.A desire to maintain and develop long-term client relationships.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.Ability to handle settlement negotiations throughout the lifecycle of a case.Ability to supervise and delegate work to paralegals and other legal support staff.Ability to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.Ability to maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
