Overview

Orion Placement is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to build a strong litigation career in Nashville, Tennessee. The role offers hands-on responsibilities and real courtroom exposure, working on sophisticated matters while receiving mentorship and support within a well-established law firm.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle all phases of litigation from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
  • Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings and trials
  • Work directly with clients to develop case strategy and provide practical guidance
  • Collaborate with partners and other associates on complex litigation matters
  • Manage a growing caseload with increasing responsibility and autonomy

Required skills

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee Bar
  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong legal writing skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters efficiently
  • Experience in transportation, construction, or product liability litigation is a plus
