Overview

A growing and highly respected litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Pensacola, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex civil matters, providing hands-on experience in all phases of litigation while allowing for substantial client interaction and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the State Bar
  • 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience handling depositions and court appearances is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Federal court experience is beneficial but not required
