Overview

The Inn & Spa at Loretto is looking for a Line Cook who is passionate about food and dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences. In this role, you'll directly impact guest satisfaction by preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining culinary standards and a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation compliance
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team members
  • Monitor food quality, portioning, and consistency across all dishes
  • Assist with station setup, breakdown, and daily prep
  • Support inventory management by labeling, rotating, and storing ingredients
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
  • Follow direction from chefs and kitchen leadership

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months of cooking experience
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills
  • Understanding of food safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
