Overview

Marquis Commercial Solutions Inc is seeking a part-time Cleaning Associate for evening shifts in Carmel, Indiana. The role involves routine cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and professional environment for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning spots.
  • Dust and clean furniture, windowsills, light fixtures, and other surfaces.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and restock supplies.
  • Empty trash cans around the building and dispose of waste safely.
  • Sanitize high-contact areas like doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
  • Maintain cleanliness of entry and exit areas, including sweeping hallways and removing debris.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used according to safety guidelines.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues to the Regional Manager.
  • Follow all health and safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Keep the janitorial space organized and cleaning equipment in working condition.
  • Adapt to changing policies, procedures, and tasks as directed by management.

Required skills

  • Experience in janitorial or cleaning preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Capability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects for extended periods.
  • Experience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and floor scrubbers.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
