As a Life Insurance Sales Agent at USAA, you'll help members protect their financial future by recommending life insurance solutions tailored to their needs. This role involves engaging with members through inbound and outbound interactions while striving to meet sales performance targets in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. Key responsibilities

  • Engage with members through high volume inbound and outbound interactions
  • Build rapport and uncover member needs through thorough conversations
  • Deliver tailored life insurance recommendations and educate members on options
  • Drive sales by presenting recommendations and overcoming objections
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling additional financial solutions
  • Complete follow-up outreach to nurture sales conversations
  • Stay informed on industry trends and legislative developments
  • Achieve performance expectations related to sales and member experience
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced team members

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Active Life insurance license
  • At least 1 year of life insurance sales or related sales experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience handling multiple priorities and navigating systems
  • Problem-solving, negotiation, and objection-handling skills
  • Ability to perform in a goal-oriented, metrics-driven environment
  • 2+ years of life insurance sales experience preferred
  • 1+ year of contact center or high-volume sales experience preferred
  • CLU designation or comparable credential preferred
  • Military experience or experience supporting military members preferred
