Overview

AVID Energy Solutions is seeking a Licensed Sheet Metal HVAC Technician and Installer to join their team in Worcester, MA. The role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing HVAC systems while helping customers with energy efficiency and utility cost savings. Candidates with a strong background in HVAC installations and related certifications are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using testing devices and auditory means
  • Troubleshoot control system wiring and connections
  • Test for refrigerant leaks using approved methods
  • Complete assigned tasks independently or with a team
  • Maintain a tidy appearance and adhere to safety regulations
  • Travel frequently within assigned territory

Required skills

  • 3+ years experience in HVAC installation and service
  • Active Sheet Metal license
  • EPA certification
  • Plumbing license preferred
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license with minimal infractions
  • Bilingual preferred
