Overview

SSM Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their clinic in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care under the direction of registered nurses or physicians, primarily focusing on internal medicine with a work schedule of 32 hours per week, avoiding nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the assessment of patients and ensure their well-being
  • Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions
  • Assist with laboratory tests and therapeutic services
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care
  • Document patient encounters and transcribe orders from providers
  • Perform patient rooming and in-office procedure assistance

Required skills

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification
  • Experience in patient care and medical assisting
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (Epic)
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
