Sevita is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their mission-driven team in Huntington, West Virginia. This full-time position involves providing essential nursing services and support to individuals with various disabilities, aiming to enhance their quality of life and independence. The role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-based healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide nursing services to individuals with medical, psychiatric, or developmental needs
  • Monitor health conditions and ensure quality services are delivered
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
  • Conduct assessments and implement healthcare services as per Individual Service Plans (ISP)
  • Train staff on medical procedures and health-related topics
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate with medical and professional service providers
  • Educate individuals on self-medication and health topics

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or accredited LPN program
  • One year of nursing experience with the target population
  • Current state LPN or LVN License
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Certifications in CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS, and other state-required training
  • Strong communication skills with staff, individuals served, and families
