Job Description

Overview

The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Life Care Center of Port Orchard will provide direct rehabilitation care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their functional progress and improve their quality of life within a supportive environment. The position is available full-time with flexible scheduling options and is open to new graduates.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under the direction of the supervising PT
  • Chart appropriately and timely
  • Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
  • One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Good body mechanics
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures in post-acute care facilities
