Overview

The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Life Care Center of McMinnville will be part of a compassionate team in a distinguished skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This role involves providing direct rehabilitation care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on improving patients' functional progress and quality of life in a patient-centered environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients upon physician referral.
  • Follow physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of the supervising PT.
  • Chart patient progress appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize therapy software accurately.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients when necessary.
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
  • Currently registered/licensed in applicable State
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Knowledge of practices and regulations governing post acute care
  • CPR certification (upon hire or during orientation)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Excellent communication and reasoning skills
