Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical and mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans that align with their personal goals.Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques, to effectively assist individuals, couples, and families.Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups, creating a safe space for dialogue around prevalent mental health issues.Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate client care and ensure an integrated approach to treatment.Offer immediate crisis intervention services, effectively managing mental health emergencies to provide stability and reassurance to patients.Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and relevant community resources to enhance their understanding and facilitate informed decision-making.Maintain meticulous records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation.Engage in continuous professional development through team meetings, case consultations, and staying updated with the latest advancements in mental health therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The Health Coast Behavioral Center serves a diverse clientele, including individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Our patient population encompasses various ages and backgrounds, requiring therapists to utilize a flexible, adaptive approach in their therapeutic techniques. QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.Current and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.Comprehensive understanding of mental health issues and treatment modalities.Ability to develop and implement effective therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with patients and colleagues.Strong ethical standards and an ability to maintain professional boundaries.Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other computer applications for documentation and patient management.
