Work Environment As a Licensed Physical Health Therapist at Health Coast Behavioral Center, you will work in a collaborative and supportive rehabilitation setting. You will join a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough physical health assessments to evaluate patient needs and establish individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities as appropriate for various physical conditions.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation exercises, preventative care, and lifestyle modifications to enhance overall well-being.Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes in electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure coordinated treatment approaches, including referrals to other specialties when needed.Facilitate patient education sessions and support groups to promote recovery and adherence to rehabilitation protocols.Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to continuously improve therapeutic practices and patient care strategies. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from physical injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. The diverse patient population includes individuals of various ages and backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and goals for their physical health journeys. Your expertise will provide critical support to these patients as they work towards regaining their strength and independence. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.Strong knowledge of rehabilitation practices and evidence-based treatments.Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to foster patient engagement.Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and tracking. Preferred ExperiencePrevious experience in a rehabilitation setting, particularly within outpatient or inpatient facilities.Familiarity with multidisciplinary team collaboration and integrated patient care approaches.Experience in developing and delivering educational materials or patient sessions related to rehabilitation.
