Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough physical health assessments and evaluations to understand each patient's unique needs and challenges.Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to address both physical and mental health issues.Provide physical therapy sessions including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and coordinated rehabilitation interventions.Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health counselors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for our patients.Educate patients and families about treatment options, encouraging compliance with therapy regimens and lifestyle modifications.Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated with the latest research and methodologies in physical therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The patients you will serve are individuals dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, often accompanied by physical health concerns. This role requires a compassionate understanding of how physical rehabilitation impacts mental health recovery. You will work with patients in various recovery stages, tailoring your approach to each individual's therapeutic journey. QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.Strong understanding of physical health modalities and their integration with mental health therapies.Proven ability to conduct assessments and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capacity to build a rapport with diverse patient populations.Attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities in maintaining patient records.Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and managing digital documentation tasks. Preferred ExperienceExperience in a rehabilitation facility or outpatient mental health practice.Knowledge of multidisciplinary healing techniques and their application in mental health therapy.Familiarity with community resources and services to assist patients in managing their recovery journeys.Prior experience working with trauma-informed care practices and diverse cultural backgrounds.
