Overview

West One Capital Group is seeking a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator to join their residential lending department in Irvine, California. This role offers a competitive compensation structure and the opportunity to work with a diverse suite of residential loan products while benefiting from advanced origination software and strong in-house processing support.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and database
  • Market loans to existing database
  • Establish and grow relationships with realtors, CPAs, and referral sources
  • Represent the company at networking events and lead-generating activities
  • Counsel and pre-qualify potential homebuyers
  • Complete uniform residential loan applications accurately
  • Gather necessary documentation and ensure compliance with lending regulations
  • Monitor loan progress to adhere to FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA, and investor guidelines
  • Communicate regularly with loan processors, buyers, realtors, and builders
  • Work in a hybrid environment with remote and office flexibility

Required skills

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator
  • Proficiency in Encompass and/or Calyx Point
  • Thorough understanding of mortgage products and programs
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and loan processing procedures
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • National NMLS registration required
