Overview

The Licensed Insurance Sales Agent at The Cambridge Insurance Agency is responsible for advising clients on property and casualty insurance, utilizing their expertise to close business while focusing on building lasting relationships. This hybrid role eliminates cold calling by providing qualified leads, allowing agents to concentrate on customer satisfaction and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records to produce regular progress reports.
  • Schedule client meetings to assess needs and recommend tailored insurance plans.
  • Develop personalized risk management strategies.
  • Stay current with industry regulations and manage claims for compliance and satisfaction.
  • Apply effective sales techniques to grow and retain the client base.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

Required skills

  • Minimum two years of experience in the insurance field
  • Experience issuing Citizens insurance policies
  • Valid 2-20 insurance license
  • Prior use of Applied Epic software
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills
  • Teamwork and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with accounting systems or lead management tools
  • Understanding of insurance offerings and risk evaluation methods
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
  • High school diploma; bachelor's degree favored
