Overview

Cargill is seeking a Licensed Electrician for their facility in Woodstock, Ontario. This full-time role involves performing skilled electrical tasks to maintain and repair complex industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify industrial equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions or equipment failures and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and start-up of new equipment.
  • Monitor quality of own work and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Follow policies and procedures related to personnel safety and food/feed safety.
  • Comply with corporate policies regarding Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR).
  • Operate motorized vehicles for moving or lifting products and materials.

Required skills

  • Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A certification
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and varied environmental conditions
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Knowledge of industrial safety, food safety, and environmental regulations
  • Experience with SAP or CMMS
  • Familiarity with maintenance trades including electrical, welding, machinist, and pipe fitting
  • Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
