Overview

Cargill is seeking a Licensed Electrician for their protein and salt business located in London, ON. The role involves performing skilled electrical tasks including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of complex industrial equipment. The position offers a chance to contribute to a sustainable future while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify industrial equipment
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures
  • Conduct preventative and corrective electrical maintenance
  • Assist in the installation and start-up of new equipment
  • Work independently while monitoring the quality of work
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Operate motorized vehicles and equipment within the facility
  • Complete safety inspections and housekeeping audits

Required skills

  • Licensed Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A certification
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and industrial control systems
  • Experience with maintenance trades including electrical, welding, and fabrication
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Familiarity with SAP or CMMS
  • Understanding of industrial safety, food safety, and environmental regulations
