Overview

Cargill is seeking a Licensed Electrician for their Ingersoll, Ontario location. This full-time position involves performing skilled electrical tasks related to the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex industrial equipment within the company's protein and salt business.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify industrial equipment and systems
  • Diagnose malfunctions or equipment failures
  • Perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and start-up of new equipment
  • Monitor quality of own work and work with minimal supervision
  • Execute day-to-day operations following safety and food safety policies
  • Ensure compliance with environment, health, safety, and food safety regulations
  • Operate motorized vehicles to move or lift products and equipment

Required skills

  • Possession of Construction Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A by the Ontario College of Trade
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and varied conditions
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial control systems
  • Experience with Maintenance Repair Ops (MRO) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety, and environmental regulations
  • Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
