Overview

Cargill is seeking a Licensed Electrician to join their protein and salt business in Ingersoll, ON. This full-time position focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial equipment while ensuring safety and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform skilled electrical tasks to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify industrial equipment
  • Diagnose malfunctions or equipment failures
  • Conduct preventative and corrective electrical maintenance
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and start-up of new equipment
  • Monitor quality of work with minimal supervision
  • Comply with safety and health regulations related to EHS and FSQR
  • Enforce a culture of safety and monitor food safety processes
  • Operate motorized vehicles for material handling
  • Execute daily operations following policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Licensed Electrician 309A or Industrial Manufacturing Electrician 442A certification
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and varied conditions
  • English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of SAP or CMMS
  • Experience in maintenance trades including electrical, welding, and pipe fitting
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industrial and food safety regulations
  • Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
