Overview

Northstar Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This role involves providing comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy
  • Conduct case management and crisis intervention
  • Document services provided according to policies and procedures
  • Develop and document comprehensive treatment plans
  • Complete assessments in accordance with established standards
  • Participate in weekly case staffing and supervision meetings
  • Provide progress reports to referral sources as requested
  • Work collaboratively with outside agencies
  • Exhibit knowledge of co-occurring disorders
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

Required skills

  • Valid LADC/ADC-T licensure in Minnesota
  • 1+ years of addiction counseling experience
  • Understanding of Minnesota Statutes for service provision
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or able to attain within 30 days)
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with medication for opioid use disorder (preferred)
  • Specialty training in DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, etc. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Procentive and Electronic Health Record System (preferred)
