Overview

Buchheit Logistics is seeking a Level II Technician to maintain and ensure the readiness of their fleet. This role is integral to the company's commitment to delivering customer satisfaction through well-maintained equipment and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform DOT inspections and scheduled maintenance without supervision
  • Conduct tire services following industry and OSHA regulations
  • Service brake, suspension, and air systems
  • Service and repair electrical systems and components
  • Assist with basic welding and fabrication tasks
  • Communicate issues and understand job assignments
  • Prioritize work assignments

Required skills

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with diesel tractor systems
  • Class A or B CDL License preferred
  • Fleet maintenance background
  • Basic tools ownership
  • Experience with hopper and dump trailers and tarp systems
  • Communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
