Overview

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company is seeking a Legislative/Regulatory Counsel in Sacramento, California. The attorney will lead government relations, monitor legislative and regulatory activities, and shape policies affecting the company and its customers. Key responsibilities

  • Lead government relations across multiple states.
  • Monitor and influence legislative and regulatory activities.
  • Build relationships with lobbyists, trade associations, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Public Policy team to craft innovative solutions.
  • Represent State Farm before regulators and guide responses to examinations.

Required skills

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active law license in at least one state.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in government relations, legislative drafting, or regulatory law.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
