State Farm is seeking a Legal Secretary for their Ontario, CA Claim Litigation office. This hybrid role involves supporting attorneys with various tasks, including calendaring, scheduling, and managing filings, while interacting with clients and courts throughout the litigation process. The position offers opportunities for development and advancement within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply specialized knowledge of legal procedures
  • Manage calendar and scheduling for litigation events
  • Process mail and manage electronic/paper filing
  • Interact with clients, courts, and counsel
  • Support attorneys in daily tasks

Required skills

  • 2+ years of recent civil defense litigation secretarial experience
  • Calendaring and scheduling experience within a legal environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • E-filing experience
  • Knowledge of legal and medical terminology
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Accurate typing skills
  • Working knowledge of California electronic filing system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Case Management and Document Storage systems
