Overview

The Legal Operations & Contract Administrator at New River Electrical Corporation will play a vital role within the Legal and Compliance Department, overseeing various aspects of contract management, project support, and dispute resolution functions. This position involves managing the contract lifecycle management system, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing paralegal support for legal matters.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage legal operations including outside counsel and vendor management
  • Oversee department budget, accruals, and financial reporting
  • Coordinate department meetings, presentations, and internal communications
  • Administer file management systems and maintain organized records
  • Serve as the training administrator for Legal and Compliance programs
  • Develop and improve templates, workflows, and legal operations procedures
  • Manage customer and subcontractor lien waivers
  • Administer the legal team's matter management system
  • Monitor contract deadlines and communicate with stakeholders
  • Draft and file required statutory notices for construction projects
  • Support management of real estate contracts and related matters
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in construction or real estate
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems, Agiloft is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction lien laws and statutory notice requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology platforms
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
