Overview

The Legal Operations & Contract Administrator at New River Electrical Corporation will play a crucial role in managing the legal operations and supporting the contracting, project support, and dispute resolution functions. This position involves coordination with various stakeholders and providing paralegal support while managing the contract lifecycle management system.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage legal operations for the department including outside counsel and vendor management.
  • Oversee invoice review and processing, legal spend tracking, and billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate department agendas, meetings, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Administer file management systems to ensure organized and accessible records.
  • Serve as the training administrator for Legal and Compliance programs.
  • Develop and improve templates, workflows, policies, and procedures for legal operations.
  • Manage the intake and tracking of customer and subcontractor lien waivers.
  • Administer the contract lifecycle management system (Agiloft).
  • Monitor contract deadlines, renewal dates, and key milestones.
  • Draft and file statutory notices for construction projects.
  • Support management of real estate contracts and matters.

Required skills

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction or real estate.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems, Agiloft preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction lien laws and statutory notice requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
