Job Description

Overview

The Harris Law Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Estate Planning Legal Assistant to support attorneys within their Estate Planning, Tax, and Trust Administration practice areas. The role involves managing client interactions, preparing and finalizing legal documents, and ensuring a seamless client experience throughout the estate planning process.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in Estate Planning, Tax, and Trust Administration.
  • Prepare, proofread, format, and finalize estate planning documents including wills and trusts.
  • Coordinate estate planning signings and manage attorney calendars.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
  • Assist with probate and trust administration matters.
  • Track client requests and attorney assignments to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare engagement letters and client onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and document deliveries.
  • Assist attorneys during client meetings and ensure files are complete.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of legal assistant or administrative assistant experience.
  • Experience in Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, or Tax Law.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to client service.
