Overview

Circle of Friends Child Development Center is looking for a Lead Teacher to join their team in Fairfield, California. This role involves working full-time or part-time with young children in a supportive and engaging environment that values excellence and integrity in child care and education.

Key responsibilities

  • Help children with eating, diapering/toileting, and maintain a clean and safe classroom
  • Ensure compliance with Circle of Friends guidelines and Community Care License
  • Keep appropriate logs and maintain a Quality Care compliant classroom
  • Engage actively with children through play and activities
  • Communicate effectively with staff and parents in verbal and written forms

Required skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a child care center
  • At least 24 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
  • CPR Certification
  • Classroom management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and maintain an active physical presence
