Overview

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Lead Software Test & Verification Engineer to join the Phantom Works Software Team in Berkeley, MO. The role involves providing engineering leadership for software verification activities, developing test processes, and leading a team of verification engineers for next-generation combat aircraft systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a group of software verification engineers in test and verification of software products.
  • Design test plans, cases, and scenarios to meet software requirements.
  • Execute test cases to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems.
  • Provide test results and feedback on software design and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret - Final Post Start & Special Program Access
  • 5+ years of experience in an Agile Software Development Environment
  • 5+ years of Python development experience
  • 5+ years of experience using software testing frameworks like GoogleTest
  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD tools
  • Knowledge of specification format requirements and change control processes
  • Understanding of various engineering disciplines
  • Ability to communicate technical information across multiple skill areas
  • Experience in automation of software tests and managing test data
