Overview

PRIME Traffic Control is seeking experienced Lead Protection & Controls Relay Technicians in Ocala, Florida. The company specializes in turnkey power substation construction and offers full-time, permanent roles with a focus on safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with NERC CIP rules and document control
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of HV Generation, Transmission, and Distribution apparatus operation
  • Perform relay protection testing and interpret test records
  • Operate and test Electromechanical and Numerical relays
  • Engage in electric substation construction, testing, and commissioning
  • Read electrical prints and schematics proficiently
  • Exhibit a team player attitude and good communication skills
  • Willingness to travel within the State of Florida

Required skills

  • 7+ years of relay experience for Senior position
  • 10+ years required for Lead position
