BEST ONE TIRE & SERVICE is hiring a Lead Commercial Mechanic for their AlignRite location in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The Lead Mechanic will oversee a team, focusing on non-engine mechanical work for commercial vehicles while upholding the company's mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of mechanics in performing non-engine mechanical work on commercial vehicles
  • Perform alignments, brakes, suspensions, electrical work, hydraulic repairs, fluid changes, and DOT inspections
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members
  • Assign jobs and duties to team members
  • Assist with scheduling customer jobs
  • Motivate team members and keep them on task
  • Maintain and control parts and supplies inventory
  • Track and record work performed and create work orders for customer jobs

Required skills

  • Six years of general mechanical work experience
  • At least three years of experience with commercial vehicles
  • Experience doing commercial vehicle alignments
  • Must have own tools and tool storage
  • Experience with computer point of sale software
  • Possessing a CDL is a plus
