Job Description

Overview

Enjet Aero is seeking a Lead Internal Auditor to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards across its Midwest locations. The successful candidate will plan, execute, and report on internal audits, collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual internal audit plans based on risk assessments and quality objectives.
  • Schedule, prepare, and conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance with AS9100 and internal procedures.
  • Document audit findings and identify non-conformities, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present results to leadership.
  • Collaborate with process owners to determine and monitor corrective actions.
  • Support external customer audit activities by facilitating documentation and responses.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to quality team members.
  • Recommend enhancements to the internal audit process and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of aerospace quality standards and industry best practices.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience conducting internal audits
  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, AS13100 and relevant industry regulations
  • Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor training in AS9100 preferred
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software
  • Ability to travel 50%-75% to all Enjet Midwest locations
