Job Description

Overview

The Lead Internal Auditor at CF Industries will oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of operational audits in a large global company. This role involves coordinating internal audit activities and ensuring compliance with accounting and financial reporting practices across various facilities and departments within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise Senior Auditors and Staff Auditors in planning audit engagements
  • Review financial and operating information for relevance and reliability
  • Recommend improvements in procedures and operational efficiency
  • Prepare written documents summarizing audit findings
  • Develop action plans in collaboration with management for audit findings
  • Ensure compliance with policies, plans, and regulations impacting operations
  • Partner with external auditors for reconciliation of discrepancies
  • Lead follow-up evaluations and investigations of unusual patterns using Data Analytics
  • Provide subject matter expertise in risk and control
  • Administer and monitor audit plans during engagements
  • Perform audit testing and document results in the internal audit software
  • Coach and provide feedback to audit team members
  • Implement best practices and remediation plans across the company
  • Lead ad hoc audits or reviews as requested

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of eight years' experience in internal audit or public accounting
  • CPA, MBA, CISA, or CIA certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Data Analytics
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Proficiency with PC and related software
