Job Description

Overview

The Lead Fulfillment Associate at Amazon plays a critical role within the Fulfillment Center, supporting various operational functions. This position involves ensuring the delivery of strong operational results by managing associates, providing training, and performing essential production tasks such as picking, packing, and inventory management while fostering a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Communicate instructions and motivate team members
  • Perform production duties as needed, including picking/packing and receiving/stowing products
  • Monitor and manage safety standards in the workplace
  • Train new associates and facilitate their integration into the team
  • Collaborate with various roles within the Fulfillment Center such as ISS Representative, Process Assistant, and Dock Clerk
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including coordinating with carriers and ensuring compliance with safety and quality measures

Required skills

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long periods
  • Leadership experience managing others
  • Experience in manufacturing/distribution/warehousing environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of performance metrics and lean process improvement
