Lead Field Superintendent Caledonia, WisconsinJob Type fulltime Description:Multifamily Construction Caledonia With nearly 40 years of construction and development experience, Horizon is a recognized leader in multifamily housing across Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Michigan. In 2024, we broke ground on more than 2,900 apartment homes across the Midwest and were recognized as the Multifamily Builder in the nation by the National Multifamily Housing Council.We're seeking an experienced Lead Field Superintendent to take the lead on one of our upcoming multifamily developments in Caledonia, Wisconsin. Your First Project This opportunity starts with a $40 million ground-up multifamily community consisting of approximately 280 apartment homes, multiple residential buildings, a clubhouse, swimming pool, and complete site development. The project is scheduled to begin in late summer and will run approximately 18 months from groundbreaking through completion.We're looking for someone who can join our team now to participate in onboarding, training, and project planning prior to mobilization. What You'll Do As the leader on-site, you'll take ownership of daily field operations and drive the project from startup through turnover. You'll coordinate structural, civil, and MEP trades, manage subcontractor performance, enforce safety standards, and maintain schedule momentum while delivering a high-quality product.Key responsibilities include:Leading all day-to-day field operations on a large-scale multifamily construction projectDriving project schedules and coordinating activities between tradesManaging quality control, inspections, punch lists, and project turnoverIdentifying and resolving field issues through proactive planning and constructability solutionsPartnering with Project Managers, design teams, inspectors, and subcontractors to keep work moving efficientlyMaintaining a safe, organized, and productive jobsite cultureSupervising and developing field staff while holding teams accountable for performance expectations Leadership Development At Horizon, we believe great superintendents are also great leaders. What You'll Bring Proven experience as a Superintendent leading multifamily, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial construction projectsStrong understanding of construction schedules, sequencing, quality control, and project turnoverExperience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple trades simultaneouslyAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience managing RFIs, field coordination, and constructability challengesStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsCommitment to maintaining a safe and compliant jobsiteOSHA certification and multifamily construction experience preferred Why Horizon?
