Job Description

Overview

The Lead Epic Analyst for Professional Billing at Boston Children's Hospital plays a critical role in the design, configuration, testing, and support of the Epic Professional Billing application. This position focuses on enhancing application performance and alignment with complex billing workflows while serving as a liaison between IT and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, and support of the Epic Professional Billing application.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the PB IT team and operational counterparts.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and triage efforts across Epic and third-party applications.
  • Own integration efforts and optimizations to enhance application use and performance.
  • Lead presentations and communications with leadership to facilitate collaboration.
  • Champion the implementation of Gold Star and Staying Current functionalities.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field, or equivalent work expe
  • Minimum of 7 years of Epic experience, particularly in Professional Billing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred certifications: Epic Professional Billing, Charge Router.
  • Experience with revenue cycle operations, billing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or data extracts.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
