Job Description

Overview

As a Lead Direct Support Professional at Sevita, you will play a crucial role in providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position involves hands-on support for participants in achieving their developmental goals and enhancing their quality of life while working within a mission-driven team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Support participants with personal hygiene and behavioral challenges
  • Assist individuals in budgeting, exercise, and nutrition
  • Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served
  • Take initiative to engage participants in community activities
  • Cover call-offs as needed while managing a full-time schedule

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services or direct care preferred
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
