Overview

The Lead Direct Support Professional at Sevita plays a vital role in providing leadership and support to staff while delivering services to individuals in residential and community settings. This position involves training, facilitating community outings, and ensuring that documentation is maintained accurately and timely.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff
  • Support individuals served by participating in their training and objectives
  • Facilitate community outings and house orientations for new employees
  • Serve as a role model and ensure accurate documentation
  • Assist with house staffing needs and recruitment
  • Review and implement shift objectives and progress for individuals served
  • Deliver services such as skills training, job coaching, and behavior management

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience in human services
  • Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
