Overview

Transdev in Hamden is seeking a highly skilled Lead Diesel Technician to supervise and coordinate the activities of the diesel technician team. This role involves ensuring efficient diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical and electrical issues
  • Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and components
  • Coach and monitor team members

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel technician
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and preventive maintenance
