Overview

The University of Illinois Foundation is seeking a Lead Coordinator in Human Resources to support its mission of fundraising for programs and research. This role offers a well-rounded, hands-on HR experience across various functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR operations, allowing for significant impact within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, job descriptions, offers, and onboarding.
  • Drive employee engagement programs and wellness initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze HR metrics for actionable insights.
  • Provide HR generalist support for day-to-day employee needs.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to uphold UIF policies and deliver a quality employee experience.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of human resources experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with recruiting laws and HR policy in Illinois is preferred.
  • HR certification (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is desired.
