As a fourth-generation, family-owned company, we design, manufacture, distribute, and install our own cabinetry throughout New England, giving you steady, year-round work and a recognized leadership role over our highest-visibility installs.Why Join Norfolk? $1,000 Sign-On Bonus Up to $35/hour, based on experienceFull-time W-2 position (40+ hours/week)Year-round work - no chasing the next projectHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffA recognized leadership role setting the quality bar for the Showroom divisionWhat You'll DoLead installation of custom cabinetry, countertops, and finish carpentry on showroom and residential projects, including work in occupied homesStudy assigned jobs with the Project Manager to understand full project scope, timeline, materials, and subcontractor tasksOwn quality control and final walkthroughs for your crew's work; complete a full jobsite punch list at each phase and submit to the PM for reviewSupervise the jobsite and uphold standards of safety, quality, and professionalism for all site personnel, enforcing OSHA safety practicesMentor and train Apprentices, Level 1, and Mid-Level CarpentersSolve complex fit-and-finish challenges independently; apply basic knowledge of structural framing and support systems, and safely assess non-structural vs. load-bearing walls when adapting plans on-siteIdentify task strategies that align with project budget and scope; flag scope changes or unforeseen conditions to the PM before proceedingCoordinate work sequencing to reduce repeat trips and increase on-site efficiencyMaintain daily documentation (time, photos, punch list items, daily logs) in our project management systemManage site cleanliness and dust protection to ensure client satisfaction during occupied remodelsEnsure daily stocking and organization of tools and inventory on the truck; report needs to the PM or Construction ManagerBe the go-to expert Designers, Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients trust on siteRepresent Norfolk professionally on high-visibility, customer-facing projects Requirements: 10+ years of carpentry, custom cabinet installation, or finish carpentry experience, including work in occupied residential spacesProven ability to lead and train other carpentersDeep experience with high-end or custom finish carpentryReads plans, blueprints, elevations, and job specifications fluently, no hand-holding requiredStrong time management and organizational skills; self-directed and proactiveValid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportationPreference given to candidates with a valid Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL)Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical labor daily, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, stooping, reaching, and carrying materialsMust speak, read, and comprehend English; bilingual candidates are encouraged to applyOSHA 10 Certification is a plusProfessional appearance and behavior required for working in client homesWe're Looking For Someone WhoHas led finish-carpentry crews, not just worked on themNotices the details other carpenters walk pastSets the standard other carpenters followHas zero tolerance for cutting corners on customer-facing workCommunicates calmly and professionally with homeowners, even when resolving on-site issuesReady to Set the Standard?If you're ready to lead the craftsmanship behind every showroom kitchen we sell, apply today and start building your future with The Norfolk Kitchen & Bath.
