Job Description

Overview

The Lead Business Strategy & Planning Analyst at USAA plays a key role in enhancing member service experiences by integrating analytics with strategic planning. This position involves collaborating with business leaders to analyze trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans aimed at increasing member satisfaction and value. This role is based in Charlotte, NC, or other specified locations and requires in-office work four days a week.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with stakeholders to communicate analytics findings and influence business strategy
  • Drive integration between analytic and business strategies
  • Identify key business assumptions and refine hypotheses for exploration
  • Develop analytical frameworks to answer business questions regarding member experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide insights related to Profit & Loss performance
  • Define outcome measures and improve decision-making agility
  • Serve as a team lead and mentor junior team members
  • Ensure compliance with risk management policies

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of data, analytics, or strategy consulting experience
  • Experience in developing strategic plans based on qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and hypothesis-driven problem solving
  • Extensive experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Adobe Analytics
  • Expert-level understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
