Description: Position SummaryThe Lead AML/CFT Analyst is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AML/CFT program, including supervision of staff, workflow management and quality assurance. This role ensures operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and consistent investigative standards.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Supervises and manages AML/CFT Analysts and Sr. Analysts, including performance evaluations, coaching and development.Assigns, prioritizes and monitors case workloads to ensure timely completion and adherence to SLAsReviews SAR recommendations and case documentation for quality, completeness, and regulatory accuracyServes as primary escalation point for complex or sensitive investigationsMonitors team productivity and performance metrics and report trends to the AML/CFT OfficerEnsures consistency in investigative approaches, documentation standards, and regulatory complianceSupports AML/CFT system enhancements, including testing and tuning, in coordination with the AML/CFT OfficerAssists in implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and risk detectionSupports CRB oversight activities and ensure adherence to FinCEN guidanceFosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional developmentKnowledge, Skills & Work ExperienceBachelor's degree required; CAMS or equivalent certification strongly preferred.5-7+ years of progressive experience in AML/CFT or financial crimes compliance with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.Deep knowledge of FinCEN's guidance and BSA reporting requirements for marijuana-related businesses.Subject matter expert in BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and related compliance laws.Strong leadership and organizational skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain regulatory standards under pressure.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and complex cases.Proficiency in using AML/CFT detection software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, staff, and external stakeholders.Physical DemandsThis job operates in a bank branch office but may require some remote work and travel. This position is an office-based position in terms of physical demand. Employees are expected to be able to operate their fingers and hands to perform functions such as typing, writing, and filing. Employees must also be able to move throughout the office with ease while also being able to sit for extended periods of time. Employees must be able to see and hear in an office setting that does include much noise going on around one's workspace. While this job is mainly clerical, there may be instances in which employees must be able to transport up to 20 pounds.
