Overview

As a Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be pivotal in developing and deploying AI-powered products that transform customer interactions and improve operational processes. This role emphasizes collaboration within a cross-functional team to create reliable AI solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies and drive innovation in banking.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI software components.
  • Collaborate with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Utilize a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Develop state-of-the-art techniques to optimize AI system performance.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap for foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 4+ years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of AI service design and development.
  • Expertise in optimizing training and inference software for performance improvements.
