Overview

As the Lead AI Engineer for Gen AI Platform Services at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in developing responsible and innovative AI systems that transform banking experiences. Collaborating with a diverse team, you will design, build, and optimize AI software components that enhance customer interactions and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components
  • Leverage a variety of AI technologies like AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, and PyTorch
  • Introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques for production AI systems
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long term roadmap of foundational AI systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related fields
  • 4+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Scala, or Java programming
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Expertise in LLM Inference, Similarity Search, Guardrails, and Memory
